WordPress Themes – WooThemes Review

Share

There are so many WordPress sites online, that often you need something to help you stand out. A good way to do this is to install a great looking WordPress theme!

Simply installing a great looking theme can help your site look more professional, which will result in more people reading your content. After all, if your site looks amateurish, then people will think that your content will be of the same quality!

Today, we will be reviewing WooThemes, a professional provider of WordPress Themes for you to use on your site. This very site, OnlineIncomeTeacher.com runs on the ‘Canvas’ WooThemes WordPress Theme.

Design

One of the best things about WooThemes, which is much better than any other premium theme provider, is it’s design!

They have a HUGE range of top quality designed themes to choose from, so while some may not be to your personal preference or site criteria, chances are, you will find loads that you will want to use.

All of the available themes are professionally made, visually appealing, and always incorporate post images in stunning fashion. My personal favorites include; ‘Delicious Magazine‘, ‘Spectrum‘, and ‘Busy Bee‘, but there are so many good quality themes to choose from that I am always thinking up new blog ideas just so I can try out some of the others.

I use the ‘Canvas‘ theme for this site because it allows me to customize just about every aspect of the design that I want, getting it just the way I want.

A good blog design inspires me to write more often and many of WooThemes 100 designs do just that.

Flexibility

WooThemes offers you a lot of flexibility with its themes. You can customize a lot of the features easily within the easy to use WordPress admin section of your site.

They also make use of a custom CSS file, which gives you even more flexibility. Normally, when you edit any of the theme files of a normal WordPress theme, you have to go through each individual CSS file and find the code that you want to edit. This can be a problem when a new theme update becomes available, as you may loose this edited that you have done.

WooThemes lets you easily add all of the edited code within the single ‘custom.css’ file. This not only means that you don’t need to worry about editing loads of different files, but that you can update your theme as soon as the latest version comes out, which gives your site added security!

Ease Of Use

WooThemes is very, very easy to use. You just download your chosen theme from the WooThemes site to your computer and upload it to your website via your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Install Themes > Upload.

That’s it! The whole process should only take a few minutes to do and then you can get to work on your brand new site.

There are loads of Theme options that you can use to manage your site via your WordPress Dashboard. You will be able to place the loaded WooThemes Widgets on your site that you want, including; ‘Woo – Tabs’, ‘Woo – Adspace Widget’, ‘Woo – Twitter Stream’ and many more.

Support

Support is one of the most important elements of any theme, and WooThemes does a very good job of offering support for all of their themes.

Every theme has specific documentation where you can find detailed installation on; getting started, how to guides, widgets, page templates, sidebar manger, menus, short-codes, SEO, change-logs, etc. Some of the more popular Themes have video tutorials that walk you through using all of the theme options.

There is also a large community of WooThemes users that are active on the Forums. If ever I have had an issue, or struggled with something, I often found the answer on the Forums. People are also very quick to reply to your questions, so if you do have an issue that hasn’t already been addressed, then someone will usually get back to you very quickly.

Overall

Overall, the premium WordPress themes made by WooThemes are some of the best themes available online. They are visually stunning, easy to use and allow lots of customizability to the user.

The ‘Standard Package’ is only $70, which lets you pick the theme you want PLUS 2 Bonus Themes! Factor in the ‘Support Access’, ‘Theme Updates’ and ‘Unlimited Concurrent Domain Uses’ and you get a lot for your money!

There are many other pricing options to choose from, including the WooThemes Club Subscription! This has a start-up fee of $125 and a monthly $15 fee, which gives you access to all 100 themes, PLUS 2 new themes a month, support access to forums/tutorials, regular theme updates and Unlimited concurrent domain uses! So you are definitely getting your money’s worth!

Getting a WooThemes WordPress theme for my site was the best investment I made for my site. But don’t take my word for it, go and check out all of their themes for yourself on their website!
